Texel

The largest island and the only one that is in the province Noord Holland.
On this island PC6IOTA is active.
There are several Hams living on this island.

 
Vlieland The second island in the chain, counting from west to east. Belongs to the province Friesland. Tourists are not allowed to bring their car to this small island. There are a few Hams living on this island.

 
Terschelling The third island in the chain, also belongs to the province Friesland and is the longest island. There are several Hams lving on this island.
 

Ameland The fourth island in the chain, belongs also to the province Friesland. There are several Hams living on this island.

 

Schiermonnikoog The fifth and last island in the chain. Also belong to Friesland. Like on Vlieland, no cars allowed by tourists on this island. There are no Hams living permanent on this island.

Noorderhaaks

Also known as Razende Bol (Raging Ball). This is a sandbar in the North Sea, south west of Texel.

 
Richel Sandbank, 1 km east of Vlieland.
 

 
Griend A small island in the Wadden Sea, not accessisble to the public, nature reserve area.

Engelsmanplaat

A sandbank between Ameland and Schiermonnikoog.

Simonszand A small sandbank, between Schiermonnikoog and Rottumerplaat.

 
Rottumerplaat A small island, east of Schiermonnikoog. Access prohibited, nature reserve area.

 
Rottumeroog Small island between Rottumerplaat and the German island Borkum. Access prohibited, nature reserve area.

 
Zuiderduintjes Not listed, but also in the area. Small sandbank south of Rottumeroog.
Access prohibited, nature reserve area.

The chain of islands is a barrier between the North Sea and the Wadden Sea.
The Wadden Sea is a very interesting sea, that stretches from Den Helder - The Netherlands along the German coast to Esbjerg, Denmark.
